Eligibility Post Graduate

Master of Arts (M.A.) Previous

            A person who has passed one of the following examination shall be eligible to join the first (Part-1) class of Master of Arts (M.A.) courses (except Master of Physical Education)

  1. B.A./B.Sc./B.Com (Hons.) examination in the subjects of Post-graduate course.
  2. B.A./ B.Sc./B.Com (Hons.) in a subject other than the subject of Post-graduate course with atleast 50% mark in the aggregate.
  3. Bachelor's degree with atleast 50% marks in aggregate or 45% marks in the subject of P.G. Course in which the candidate wishes to seek admission.
  4. Shastri Examination (Ne scheme of three year duration) of this University.
  5. An examination of any other University recognised by this University as requivalent to (i) or (ii) or (iii) or (iv) above.

A candidate who is placed under compartment in the qualifying examination shall not be allowed to join Master of Arts. The eligibility condition for admission to Master of Arts will be minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination for SC/ST candidate.


A person who has passed PG exam shall not ordinarily be allowed to seek admission to PG courses in another subject as a regular student. However one can join another PG courses only on permission to be accorded by the Vice-Chancellor on genuine grounds.
